Filtering goals, habits & obstacles

Filtering helps you to maintain a pipeline of goals, habits and obstacles (the process for managing the pipeline is the same).


Each goal / habit / obstacle can be in one of 4 states:

  • Pending (at planning stage, but not ready to work on yet)

  • Active (working on right now; only a limited number allowed to maintain focus)

  • Archived (finished working on, at least for now)

  • Bin (to be deleted)


To filter:

  • In the goal / habit / coaching (obstacle) list view tap the "filter" button.

  • This shows a pull-down menu allowing you to select "All" (the complete list of that item), Pending (including newly added items), Active, Archived and Bin (marked for deletion).

  • We recommend for day to day use that Active is selected as a default (to maintain focus) with All being used for Weekly Review (to determine if any items need to change state).

  • Note that adding a new goal, habit or obstacle will automatically set the filter to All (so the new item can be seen in context).
